Snappy and Dashing

I received this book from the author for review.

This novella focuses on Richelle, a character that was introduced in the second book in the Yellow Hoods series, Breadcrumb Trail. While the Snappy and Dashing storyline is independent of this excellent series, it is still a story that fans of the first two books will enjoy. This story takes place directly after the events of book two, and delves further into the character of Richelle.

In all honesty, I am not a fan of novellas, because I never have enough time to connect to the characters or the story. I usually never read them unless it is absolutely necessary to the plot of the actual books. With that being said, when I found out this novella was going to be about the character Richelle, I was very excited. She was a very interesting character in book two, and I was was looking forward to learning more about her.

The way this story was put together was different – in a good way, well written, and interesting. Some of Richelle’s past was illuminated without sacrificing the momentum of the story.  Also, Dreece revealed how some of Richelle’s story lines and ideas in Breadcrumb Trail started and were planned out. The plot and quick pace of the story was also very well done, making this book my favorite novella I have read. If you are a fan of the first two books in the series, then I highly recommend reading this as well.

My favorite character was Richelle. As I said before, I loved her in the second book, and loved having her be the main character.

This book had no swearing, no romance, and mild violence.

  1. As usual, a stellar review. The author is most fortunate having you reviewing the book. Your comments alone should sell many books.
